#116 - Two Kinds of Fear

In the dualistic Multiverse we inhabit and experience, such as hot and cold, day and night, masculine and feminine, it's been established that the opposite of FEAR is LOVE.

It would be useful then to define fear, in order to become the master over our thoughts and emotions, by arriving at a clear, concise understanding about what exactly we are dealing with, both internally and externally.

Fear has two faces.

One is a mask!

The first one is biological fear and we really don't want to get rid of that because in extreme circumstances, our survival may be fully dependent on it!

We want to be able to instinctively know when this human organism's survival is being threatened, and what we should do in order to preserve this life of ours.

For instance, if there was an earthquake, we would quickly exit a building so we didn't get clobbered by concrete, rafters and everything else that may come tumbling down upon us.

So, biological fear teaches us that instinctively, there is danger and we need to respond appropriately, to be able to preserve ourselves.

Birds and animals have this inbuilt instinct and they have been seen fleeing prior to tsunamis, earthquakes and landslides, to name a few dangers.

Biological fear is a great thing to have, so don't try and stifle or get rid of it, but trust your intuition and instincts.

The other fear is learned, conditioned fear that we take on usually from our parents, our siblings or immediate family and it was generally adopted between birth and seven years of age.

This fear can be overcome and transcended.

It originates from the place called the EGO and is steeped in fear, as its main driver.

The definition of EGO is a FALSE SENSE OF SELF!

Let me repeat that - "The EGO is a false sense of self."

So anything that comes from the fear-based EGO, is a complete and utter lie, it’s a fabrication that we have learnt and been conditioned to react to.

Mastery over the mind and emotions, starts by inspecting what behaviours you have learnt and been conditioned to react to.

"What am I playing out
from my EGO"?

Embrace these, don't run away from them, dive deeply within and look for the root cause.

"Where did I learn this behaviour that I have adopted in my life"?

"Am I now being someone else, as I'm in a state of learnt, conditioned fear, instead of responding from my heart?"

The way out is the
way through!
