Oracle of Consciousness
#99 - Resisting What Is
Whatever is arising,
is arising!
Whatever is arising in this moment, whether it be physically, mentally, emotionally, or spiritually, is what is arising.
It's appearing out of the Unified Field of Potential, or we can call it the Universe.
When we're opposing, resisting and not accepting the reality of what is occurring in this moment, then we are fighting against the Universe and guess which one always wins?
In essence, we are generating, a self-created conflict.
And it's conflict that is the major cause of stress.
If you look back in your life, the time when you were the most conflicted, whether it be in a relationship, a job, a situation, an accident, whatever it was, wherever there was conflict, it's inevitably met with stress.
The stress is the resistance to the conflict.
It's not the actual circumstances itself, it's the resistance to it that causes us distress.
Because it seems natural to resist.
I mean, who wants to walk around with a freshly broken arm and be incapacitated from doing sport or whatever it is?
There's a natural inclination to resist and say,
"I really don't want this!"
But the reality is, the arm, or the wrist is broken and we have to forego our tennis, golf or whatever it is we're doing, even typing on our handphone.
We just need to become aware of what we are resisting in life, what is actually occurring and that's where acceptance comes in.
We accept what is occurring, we don't condone any bad behaviours, the destruction and harmful activities that are going on, we don't say:
"Oh, that's okay, it's just human to behave that way!"
No , that is not acceptable!
When we accept that this is the reality which is unfolding in front of us with no resistance, just say quietly to yourself:
"This is the reality."
Now if I don't like this reality, if it really jives against you and you feel compelled to do something about it, then move into action to do something, start a group, start an association, or align with people that are doing things to change whatever is happening.
Resistance begets more separateness!
Acceptance reduces stress!
Practice Radical Acceptance and Radical Surrender
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure."
"It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?'
Actually, who are you not to be?
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
Marianne Williamson
The reality is, we are infinite, conscious beings.
That's the reality.
And when we push up against that saying,
"Just leave me alone. I just want a calm, peaceful, human experience".
Or
"I don't want all the bad stuff either, just give me the good stuff".
There's our conflict.
The reality is that we live in a dualistic multiverse, so there will be two sides to every coin, black and white, hot and cold, good and bad.
As we accept the reality and we're no longer conflicted, now we open the door to a flood of consciousness, stillness and inner quiet that is always there.
