# 17 - Choices

Life is about making choices

Choices

When we choose between two or more
options, we have made a choice.

Researchers suggest an adult makes an
estimated 35,000 decisions every day.

Think about that for a moment.

If we make 35,000 decisions per day,
how many options could we have
possibly had to choose from?

Could it be in excess of 70,000?

Is it any wonder that some people have difficulty making choices and decisions?

What if I told you, you have never made a wrong choice in your life?

You would probably think, or even say out aloud:

"This guy is either delusional, or had someone make decisions for him all his life!"

"Surely he cannot be serious?"

So I better explain myself.

We live in a dualistic Multiverse.

That means there are two sides to the one coin;
* hot and cold,
* day and night,
* masculine and feminine,
* good and bad,
* going on again and again, forever

This allows us to experience relativity, which gives us the opportunity to compare and choose between people, places, jobs and every other facet of life.

If there was only one of everything in the physical universe, it could not function and would be excruciatingly boring!

How would we procreate if there
was only one gender?

How would we manage if there
was only the darkness of nighttime?

How would we know what hot
feels like, without the experience
of cold?

What about the taste of food, how
boring if all the food
tasted the same!

And worst of all -

"Sorry we only have one flavour of ice cream!"

How devastating would that be?

It is relativity and duality that gives us a richly diverse life and spurs us on to be masterful and more conscious.

The yin-yang symbol holds its roots in Taoism, a Chinese religion and philosophy dating back to the 3rd century BCE (Before the Common Era).

It depicts the symbology of duality perfectly and goes further, to demonstrate that to become a whole human being, we must integrate both sides into one.

In other realms and dimensions, there is only non-dual Oneness.

You are that!

Coming back to my seemingly ridiculous idea that 'you have never made a wrong choice in your life', hopefully now you can see that all you did was to make a choice.

Only the ego-mind judges it 'good or 'bad' and any other labels, but in essence, you came into this world to experience life and you made some choices, some of which you may repeat and some, where you would choose differently.

The question to ask is, how would you know what you do want, until you have experienced what you don't want?

And here you have it, the extraordinary gift of duality.

We have free will and
choice in our lives.

Choose well.
