Oracle of Consciousness
#131 - Be Still,
Be Silent, Just Be!
In order to contact the consciousness that we are and our innate heart-centredness that lies within us all, we can't be busying ourselves 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.
We can't become thoroughly distracted.
We can't be endeavouring in something that is physically enduring, mentally stressful, emotionally painful and in a spiritual pursuit of something, We have just have to stop.
A wonderful, aware woman, Gangaji suggested,
"Just stop and then stop trying to stop".
And there it is!
Everything we are seeking, yearning for and more, is right there available to us, if only we would stop and look!
Everything is arising out of the Unified Field of Consciousness.
If we just stop and be still, be silent, totally present and just be, no doing, no having, just be and in that beingness, is everything we seek.
It's all there.
But if we're starting off, don't expect it to happen on the first time, be patient.
We know that the mind will just chatter away and it will attempt to draw us out of our meditative or stillness state.
We are not trying to fight it or offer any resistance, we just accept it.
As the 'Silent Witness', we can observe the coming and goings of our mind.
It is our Consciousness that is observing what is occurring.
There is a sound arising, there is activity in the 'monkey-mind' arising in this moment.
But we're not diving in there to question what is going on, or figure out what does this mean, questioning what will happen in the future or trot-out what has happened in the past.
Let it be!!
Become the silent observer, observing the activity in the mind.
A thought comes into our awareness, it arises in the mind, stays for a while, disappears and then another thought arises, ad nauseam.
But by being fully present with that, we are unaffected and will start to experience the presence, that is always there.
It is who you are at the core.
It is your connection to All That Is.
And it is by being in this presence, being still, silent, and just being, that this will reveal itself, with all its majesty, the infinite pool of consciousness that you are.
